Built in the vast territory of Alentejo, the house emerges from the figure of an extensive water tank attached to a wall, facing south, as if it was a resonance box of the entire landscape.

The site is almost flat and is surrounded by a landscape typical of the south, with drought tolerant trees and various species of cactus, so the building appears to be very artificial.

Located in the Municipality of Moita, 40 km south of Lisbon, Santa Rafaela Maria foundation is a charity established in 1992 to oversee and develop social projects with families and children.

The house is located in the Southwest of Alentejo, deep in the Grandola hills.
