Verk Chair V.DE.03

David Ericsson. Verk Chair V.DE.03 is a minimal chair created by Stockholm-based designer David Ericsson for Verk. Made exclusively of solid Swedish oak or birch.

Made exclusively of solid Swedish oak or birch. Choice of three seats: solid oak or birch; smooth, vegetable tanned Swedish leather, or woven leather. The leather seats are self-supporting, replaceable and can be tightened gradually. Integrated furniture pads made of ecologically tanned, Swedish leather.

Can be purchased untreated or treated with natural linseed oil. A wooden chair with its design roots in both the Shaker movement and traditional European ladder-back chairs – and, of course, in designer David Ericsson’s own unmistakable design. Ericsson has won acclaim for his earlier chairs – and for good reason.

Simple, functional and ingeniously designed, the chair is made of Swedish birch or Swedish oak, and you get to choose either a solid wooden seat or the slightly softer seat with leather saddle straps.

As David himself points out, the length of time you spend sitting varies: Sometimes you want an espresso and other times a five-course meal.
