The design was a reaction to the incessant movement of people – a need to sometimes sit down, arm in arm, and reflect on the ground we’ve walked.
It feels more valuable than ever to surround ourselves with the odd and slightly ridiculous which is not to say that the aesthetic cannot be grounded in the familiar. So maybe that’s just more of a dialogue between art and design, a balance between what makes us smile or recoil and what is comfortable and safe.
“Sometimes, We Sit” is made from solid oak and stainless steel.
