Pli combines a lounge chair with the warmth and tactile feeling of a knitted blanket from wool. Designed to be a furniture-piece »for all« it is inspired by the beauty of ageing skin. The chosen pattern visually resembles accruing wrinkles when growing older. A wooden frame, made from ash, gives the lounge chair its stabile construction. The knitted textile provokes a tactile experience. Together with the cushion it brings warmth and comfort to the wooden seat. In warmer periods both might be removed. The wider and slightly higher seat provides a comfortable sitting for young, small, big, tall and old. The division of frame and upholstery allows the end of the armrests to be free. The tube-shaped handles can be grabbed easily and support a comfortable getting-up.
