Fabrizio Barozzi tells us about the Philharmonic Hall Szczecin project with which his studio gained the attention of international media and which allowed him to win the Mies Van der Rohe Award.

What can you tell us about the Szczecin Philharmonic?

The Philharmonic was the first big competition that we won abroad, and we started it when we were very young, I don’t remember if I was twenty-nine or thirty. To have the chance to make a philharmonic does not happen every day so the project was significant because all of the sudden we found ourselves in charge of such a huge and difficult task.

I feel this is the most known of our project and although we worked very hard, it was extremely rewarding also because we managed to implement all of the working practices I mentioned earlier.
