Matteo Cibic, together with the curator Valentina Guidi Ottobri, has created an installation for Luisa Via Roma, trying to imagine a non-catastrophic future despite the melting of the ice on our planet.
What can you tell me about this job?
The idea was to imagine a digital panorama of the future linked to the melting of glaciers.
In addition to the obvious brutal consequences, which we are all able to imagine more or less, I am convinced that we will witness the birth of magical landscapes.
For example, new types of plants could emerge from seeds buried under ice millions of years ago. I have tried to imagine some positive consequences within a bleak future in many other respects.
