Casa Aculco by PPAA Pérez Palacios Arquitectos

PPAA, Casa Aculco, 2017, Aculco, Mexico

Casa Aculco is a countryside project located between Mexico City and Querétaro on an open site with a view to the nearby valley.
The approach was to locate an almost monolithic piece on the site, ruled by the best orientation and the 360 degree view. The construction was meant also to be minimal due the client’s requests and the limited cost of the project.
After the location for the construction was set, a mayor opening on the building was done in order to have full transparency to the view and erase the physical boundaries with the outside.

The ground floor slab was then extended to the outside to form a terrace where the main social activities could happen.
