The AKA family, designed by Ori Shifrin Anavi from Tel-Aviv, Israel, is a series of nine stackable abstract animal toys made from unwanted offcuts of wood collected from various workshops. The colour scheme and the level of abstraction are based entirely on the natural colour of the different types of wood that were used and their handcrafted assembly to give each animal a hint of its identity.
Each family member contains a different tactile and textural values. It can be used as a playful balancing game or a set of decorative objects to bring joy and innocence to home life.
Made by hand with love.
(List of animals: Lion, Ladybug, Alligator, Whale, Octopus, Penguin, Giraffe, Hedgehog, Zebra.)
